Casper’s Magic Wings

Casper’s Magic Wings is a book designed in collaboration with a local author and her elderly mother. They wanted to produce children’s stories based on themes overcoming anxiety and exploring friendships during lock-down. All the main characters were based on real ponies and their own stories. The illustrations were created by the author’s mother and all content was written by the author. We also had special permission to use the Sassoon Primary typeface from Rosemary Sassoon herself! My task was to creatively design the book, creating a templates, layouts and background graphics for all of their collective hard work. Additionally, supporting with print as well. What started off as a lock-down project, soon grew momentum and has ended up raising money for Redwings Horse Sanctuary, as well as others. The books have even had a mention on BBC Radio Sussex during one of the authors interviews with them.
